Fez is one of Morocco’s leading touristic cities, just behind Marrakech. It has the biggest inhabited old Medina in the world and is one of Morocco’s most influential cities. Fez is 12 centuries old, known as the intellectual capital because of the numerous Medersas “Schools” that took the Medina as their home since the city was established and the Qarawiyin university, the first ever degree-granting university in the world.
