Fez

Fez is one of Morocco’s leading touristic cities, just behind Marrakech. It has the biggest inhabited old Medina in the world and is one of Morocco’s most influential cities. Fez is 12 centuries old, known as the intellectual capital because of the numerous Medersas “Schools” that took the Medina as their home since the city was established and the Qarawiyin university, the first ever degree-granting university in the world.

Fez is full of attractions to visit and places to see. Its micro-industrial world in the Medina is full of wonders. Tourists consider Fez to be an authentic representation of Moroccan heritage. First, because of the well preserved alleys and old houses and riad. Second, because of the medieval atmosphere of the city and because of the many activities you can try.
